For something a little more upscale, try Southern Bistro or Ray’s on The River. They both are perfect for a sit-down brunch with the whole family. One of the more popular spots in Sandy Springs is The Select. It's even on OpenTable's "100 Most Popular Brunch Spots in America" list, so you'll definitely have to go see what all the hype is a about. Our favorite brunch dishes are their short rib hash and eggs benedict!

Savor Bar and Kitchen located in the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North is hosting a Mother's Day brunch buffet, featuring a seafood bar, a carving station, a breakfast feast including an omelet station, mimosas, and more! The lunch is $55 per person, and parking will be complimentary. Sandy Springs is home to plenty of locations where you can express your inner artist! Book a session at Splatter Studio for an interactive painting experience that you'll love. They give you the canvas, and then you decide the rest! Splatter, throw, or even shoot paint to create your own masterpiece.

The Sipping Plant offers guided classes that walk you step-by-step through building a terrarium! It's an absolute blast putting together your own little ecosystem in a bowl, and you walk away with a very cool piece of decor! Be sure to BYOB to enjoy the "sipping' part of the experience.

Painting with a Twist is another spot where you can enjoy an adult beverage while you paint. Register for one of their multiple Mother's Day events, and make some art alongside your mom!

 

Art & Soul Studio offers a few different art-related parties, including pottery painting, jewelry making, and canvas painting (either instructional or non-instructional). Make sure to call as far in advance as you can to ensure you can get a time!

Pontoon Brewing is hosting an art market on Mother's Day that will have over 50 local vendors selling their unique wares. They'll have 18 beers on draft to choose from, free parking, and their spacious, dog and family-friendly taproom will be open.

Sandy Springs is home to over 22 miles of Chattahoochee River shoreline and over 20 nature preserves and city parks.

The High Country Paddle Shack has officially opened for the summer, and we couldn't be more excited! Take mom out on a stand-up paddle board at Morgan Falls Overlook Park for a fun day in the sun! You can book a time right now to ensure you get a board.

You can also rent a single or double ducky from the Nantahala Outdoor Center at Powers Island, which you can take down the Chattahoochee. It's around a 3.5-mile trip from Powers Island to the take-out at Paces Mill, so be ready!

Not a water person? No problem, there are plenty of hikes to enjoy in Sandy Springs. The East Palisades - Indian Trail Unit is a semi-challenging hike that's well worth the effort. Along the trail, you can find a beautiful overlook of the Chattahoochee and even a bamboo forest! Check out this map for details on where to find them.

Big Trees Forest Preserve is much easier in terms of hiking difficulty, and it offers a serene landscape that makes for a very calming stroll under a canopy of trees. 

Want to plan a picnic? Try out Morgan Falls Overlook Park, which has first-come, first-serve, pavilions, as well as a decent amount of grassy area to have a picnic spread!
