Sandy Springs is home to some truly one-of-a-kind activities. Some are relaxing, some are active and exciting, some are great for the whole family and some are just plain unique! Explore the lesser-known side of Sandy Springs with these 11 things to see and do.

1. Play a Round of FootGolf

This up-and-coming sport is a hybrid of golf and soccer that originated in the Netherlands and can be played at Steel Canyon Golf Club in Sandy Springs. The game is played like golf, only instead of swinging a club and hitting a tiny golf ball, players kick a soccer ball down the fairway and try to make it in the hole with the fewest kicks possible. Footgolf is played over 18 holes and is great for both adults and kids who want to spend a beautiful afternoon outside at Steel Canyon. Hours of play are Monday through Friday before 3:30 p.m. and weekends after 4 p.m. Soccer balls can be rented for a small additional fee.

2. Experience a Jazz Show
