The Simon and Garfunkel Story

This immersive concert-style theater show chronicles the amazing journey of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. It tells the story from their humble beginnings as "Tom and Jerry" to their incredible success and their dramatic split, culminating with the famous “Concert in Central Park” reunion in 1981 with more than half a million fans in attendance.

Atlanta Jewish Film Festival

We at Visit Sandy Springs are excited to be a sponsor for the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival! The festival is now in its 24th year and is set for an expanded 24-day event from February 13 to 26, 2024, in theaters, and a streaming encore from February 27 to March 7. This format includes 14 days of in-theater screenings and 10 days of online streaming, enhancing the festival's reach and accessibility.

Hosted across five metro-area venues - the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center, the Tara Theatre, the historic Plaza Theatre in Midtown, GTC Merchants Walk in East Cobb, and Springs Cinema & Taphouse in Sandy Springs - the festival promises an immersive cinematic experience. Along with the screenings, audiences will enjoy live and pre-recorded Q&A sessions with international film artists, local community leaders, and expert speakers, complemented by a range of special events.

This year's lineup features a diverse array of 48 feature films and 15 shorts from 20 countries, including 3 World Premieres, 6 North American Premieres, 2 U.S. Premieres, and 13 Southeast Premieres. With 31 films screening exclusively in theaters and a specially curated selection of 17 features and 15 shorts available for streaming in the Virtual Cinema, the festival caters to both in-person and online audiences.

Sandy Springs' premiere professional theatre company presents the hit Disney musical directed by Broadway legend Baayork Lee. Step into the enchanted world of this modern classic, based on the ground-breaking Academy Award-winning animated film of the same name. Join Belle, Gaston, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and many more, on the musical adventure that changed the face of Broadway, where this “tale as old as time” ran for over thirteen years, and spawned a string of Disney musical mega-hits, including The Lion King, Newsies, and Aladdin. With such songs as “Be Our Guest,” “Human Again,” and the Oscar-winning title tune, DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is family theatre at its very best.

The Dine Like a Local mobile passport is back again for another year of delicious eats and awesome prizes! From January 2nd to March 31st, you can earn points by checking in at Sandy Springs restaurants, which can be redeemed for entries into various giveaways.

The process is simple:

  • Sign up for the pass by following the "Learn More" link below.
  • Dine at one of the 24 participating restaurants.
  • While at the restaurant, open your pass, navigate to that restaurant’s page, and click “Check In.”
