Official Rules: Sandy Springs SUP Showdown Paddle Board Giveaway

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR RACE REGISTRATION DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Sponsors

The Giveaway is co-sponsored by Visit Sandy Springs and Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks, located at 50 Glenlake Parkway, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 ("Sponsors").

2. Eligibility

The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsors, their affiliates, advertising agencies, and immediate family members are not eligible to win. Void where prohibited by law.

3. Entry Period

The Giveaway begins on August 2, 2026, at 12:00 AM EDT and ends on August 12, 2026, at 8:00 PM EDT ("Entry Period"), coinciding with the close of race registration.

4. How to Enter

There are two (2) ways to enter:

Primary Entry Method (Race Registration + Newsletter):

Register for the August 15th Sandy Springs SUP Showdown ($75 entry fee) at runsignup.com/Race/Register?raceId=206307.


Subscribe to the Visit Sandy Springs Monthly Newsletter via the sign-up form presented on the confirmation page following race registration.



Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE / Free Mail-in Option):

To enter without registering for the race, sign-up for the Visit Sandy Springs newsletter, then hand-print your full name, complete mailing address, phone number, and email address on a postcard and mail it to:

Mail-in entries must be postmarked by August 10, 2026, and received prior to the drawing on August 15, 2026.



Limit one (1) entry per person, regardless of entry method. Incomplete, automated, or duplicate entries will be disqualified.

5. Prize & Approximate Retail Value (ARV)

Prize: One (1) BOTE HD Gatorshell Stand-Up Paddleboard and one (1) Adjustable BOTE Paddle.


Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $1,600.00 USD.


Prize is non-transferable, non-assignable, and non-exchangeable for cash. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.


6. Winner Selection, Attendance Requirement & Announcement

Selection: The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible online and mail-in entries following the conclusion of the race on August 15, 2026.


Attendance Requirement: The winner MUST be present in person at the event following the race when the drawing takes place to win.


Claiming Prize: If the selected entrant is not in attendance when their name is called, they forfeit the prize, and an alternate winner will be drawn immediately from the remaining eligible pool until an eligible entrant in attendance is awarded the prize.


7. General Conditions & Release of Liability

By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsors, which are final and binding in all respects.


Liability Release: By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to release and hold harmless Visit Sandy Springs, Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks, event coordinators, and partner organizations from any liability, injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Giveaway or acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.


Publicity: Except where prohibited, entry constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, voice, photo, and likeness for promotional purposes in any media without further compensation.


8. Privacy Policy

Information collected in connection with this Giveaway is subject to the Visit Sandy Springs Privacy Policy, available at visitsandysprings.org/privacy-policy. Entrants may unsubscribe from newsletter communications at any time.
