Movies by Moonlight

Want an easy and relaxing evening for you and your family? Movies by Moonlight is a Sandy Springs tradition where movies are shown free of charge on City Green at City Springs! Make plans to head over to the green at 7pm on July 17th  to catch the movie “Grease”. If you have a good time, make sure to come back out in August for two more showings including, Jungle Cruise on the 17th and Encanto on the 26th. Be sure to bring a blanket and some popcorn to ensure maximum enjoyment!

 

Paddle-boarding, kayaking, or rafting on the Chattahoochee River

It’s not summer in Sandy Springs if you don’t spend some time on the Chattahoochee. Thanks to the two outfitters located in Sandy Springs, the High Country Paddle Shack and the Nantahala Outdoor Centers outpost at Power Island, getting on the river is a breeze. Just rent your watercraft of choice and start your adventure!

Sandy Springs Diner has been locally owned and operated since 2008 and offers a plethora of delectable food options. Whether it’s waking up with biscuits and gravy or ending your day with their famous patty melt, they’ve got you covered any time of day. It's open 8:30am - 8:30pm Monday - Sunday. You definitely need to check this one out!

 

Ice skating at Center Ice Arena

Who needs A/C when you can surround yourself with ice? Center Ice Arena offers you a chance to feel what it's like to be inside of a freezer, which is hard to find, especially in the dog days of summer. Sign up for their learn-to-skate series or join during a free skate session, and you’ll be gliding around the ice in no time! You can bring your own skates or rent a pair of theirs. Also, kids 3 & under skate free!

 

See if you can pull a Houdini and escape the meticulously designed rooms at Mastermind Escape Games. Your communication, teamwork and creativity skills will all be challenged as you collect clues and solve puzzles. This activity is perfect for a work event focused on team building or families looking for a fun and engaging time.

Get in a round of golf at Steel Canyon Golf Course

Go hit the links at this beginner-friendly, 18-hole, golf course, equipped with a covered driving range and clubhouse store. Even if you aren’t a master with the clubs, you can still have a great time outside enjoying the scenic views this course has to offer. Make sure to schedule a tee-time in advance as they can sell out quickly!

Outdoor Concerts

July is a big month for concerts in Sandy Springs! There are three shows lined up, including Brotherhood - A Tribute to the Doobie Brothers, Starship, and The Smithereens. All lawn seating is free to the public, but reserved tables can be purchased if you prefer. If you want to get some fresh while enjoying live music, these concerts are for you!
