The ever-popular St. Patrick’s Day is here, and while Sandy Springs is a short 3,683 miles away from Ireland, we’re going to have no shortage of Irish cheer!

Northside St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival

The inaugural Northside St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival will be taking place on Saturday, March 18th, from 9am to 5pm. Since it’s the first of its kind here in Sandy Springs, we wanted to give you a rundown of what to expect.

9am – 10am: The festival market will kick off the event with a number of local vendors selling an assortment of Celtic and St. Patrick’s Day related goods!

10am – 11am: The parade will step-off from the intersection of Mt. Vernon Highway and Lake Forrest Drive and make its way around the City Springs area. You can expect to see floats, vehicles, military units, schools, bands, music, theater, and athletic groups, local civic organizations, businesses, and more. The parade is expected to last around 45 minutes to an hour.

11am – 12pm: The opening ceremony will be taking place, and the Atlanta Irish Dance by Burke Connolly will be performing.

12pm – 3pm: Performances by The Roundabouts, The Drake School of Irish Dance, and the O’Reilly’s Session Players.

3pm  – 5pm: The Muckers, a five-piece Celtic-rock band, will be closing out the festival!

7pm: You can head over to Thos. O’Reilly's Public House for a post-festival concert by the renowned Kate Curran! This is a 21+ event.

Throughout the day, there will also be activities for kids, a few workshops on Irish dance and sports, and some great food and drink. Find out everything you need to know on their website here!
