Pastry Engineering 101 for Kids!


If you can't get your kids out of the kitchen, then get them to Hal's Kitchen. Hal's Kitchen iinvites your kids, ages 10-15 to discover the science of baking! Students learn both common and complex dessert recipes and the corresponding chemical reactions that make it all possible. This fun and engaging hands on class teaches the similarities between culinary arts and the sciences, while exploring tangible and digestible scientific principles. Lead by Georgia Tech alumna, and pastry professional Kia Benion, founder of The Pastry Engineer.
