This lantern workshop is hosted by Chantelle Rytter for the Sandy Springs Lantern Parade on June 15! Your creative participation is what makes the magic!
Illuminated Parasols are super fun to twirl around in the parade! And they can fold up and go into a back pack. (Aside: I see a regional fashion trend developing - dudes with parasols.) We are adding string lights and colored tissue paper to white paper parasols. It is a large surface on which to luxuriate with design details. Streamers around the edge have beautiful movement! Parasols and Globe lanterns are the best choice for small children with a dedicated assistant. Kids with scissors skills will want their own parasol! Young kids wear out sometimes - please know that you can take all the paper you need to finish at home if you need to split.
All materials, lights, and batteries included. You are welcome to bring a beverage and a snack. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Tickets are per parasol. (ie. Mom & Child are making one parasol together. They only need one ticket.) Tickets are non-refundable.
