Every September for over 25 years, this two-day, mega annual event in Sandy Springs has attracted more than 20,000 people. Festival highlights include an extensive artists’ market, business & civic expo, children’s park, fast-paced Doug Kessler Lightning 10K & 5K, food court and heritage education area.

Juried Artists’ Market
Stroll through a large array of art booths and check out the hand-made jewelry, fine art, distinctive crafts and unique gifts.

The Sandy Springs Society Entertainment Lawn & Stage
Enjoy a variety of local amateur and professional performers on the stage throughout the weekend.
Doug Kessler Sandy Springs Lightning 10K/5K
The USATF-certified road race kicks off the Festival beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22nd. The fast-paced race is held on a beautiful, tree-lined residential course along Mt. Vernon Highway and is the fastest Peachtree Road Race qualifier.
Kiwanis Pet Parade
Pets of all shapes and sizes will parade through the Festival sporting creative and crazy costumes. Prizes are awarded in a variety of categories.
Heritage Sandy Springs Museum
“Roots of Sandy Springs,” at the HSS Museum will celebrate the heritage of our community through crafts, demonstrations and exhibits.
Health and Wellness Area
This area is designed to provide health screenings and educational resources, to Festival attendees.
Children’s Park
Kids will love the activities designed especially for younger children, including hands-on crafts, a petting zoo and pony rides.
Teen Territory
Enjoy the excitement of inflatable rides, bungee jumps and rock walls in this area geared toward teens.
Optech Family of Companies’ Food Court
Choose from a variety of tasty treats offered by local restaurants and regional vendors in addition to the new food trucks.
How to Get to the Festival
Directions from 285 Eastbound:
Take Exit 25 (Roswell Road). At the traffic light, turn left onto Roswell Road. Go to the third traffic light (Hammond Drive) and turn left. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Sandy Springs Circle.
Directions from 285 Westbound:
Take Exit 25 (Roswell Road). At the traffic light, turn right onto Roswell Road. Go to the second traffic light (Hammond Drive) and turn left. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Sandy Springs Circle.
Directions from 400 North:
Take Exit 5B (Abernathy Road). Take a right onto Abernathy Road. Turn left onto Roswell Road. Turn right onto Sandy Springs Circle.
Directions from 400 South:
Take Exit 5 (Abernathy Road). Take a right onto Abernathy Road. Turn left onto Roswell Road. Turn right onto Sandy Springs Circle.
Free parking is available at Century Springs East and West Parking Lots located at the corner of Lake Forrest Drive and Hammond Drive. The Cooper-Atlanta Transportation Shuttle service will drop off and pick up at Gate 4 (Sandy Springs Circle at Hammond) throughout the weekend. Please do not park at CityWalk or area shopping centers. These private lots are for retail patrons only.
Taking MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority)
The closest MARTA stop is the Dunwoody Station which is 1.6 miles away. Passengers can take the #5 Sandy Springs or the #76 Roswell Road bus. Both drop passengers at Hilderbrand Drive and Roswell Road, one block east of the Festival entrance on Hilderbrand Drive and Bluestone Road.

The Sandy Springs Festival is located at 6075 Sandy Springs Circle, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. The Festival takes place in the heart of the city at Heritage Green. The park is located off Sandy Springs Circle between Hilderbrand Drive and Sandy Springs Place.
