The John Ripley Forbes Big Trees Forest Preserve www.bigtreesforest.com is a beautiful and unique, 30-acre, Sandy Springs Forest Preserve, designed and managed as a relaxing visual, mental and spiritual oasis in a protected tree, plant and wildlife sanctuary. The seemingly remote, semi-wilderness experience offers passive nature walks along 1-1/2 miles of walking trails. The Forest is a remarkable urban forest with hilly topography featuring two creeks and a diverse middle growth forest including some large 100- and 200-year-old White Oak trees. The Forest is located at 7645 Roswell Road, about four miles north of I-285.
