In the heart of Sandy Springs is our Heritage Sandy Springs, the home of the natural springs for which our city is named. Within the three-acre park stands the Williams-Payne-House Museum with its meticulously maintained 1870s farmhouse, milk house and era antiques. Heritage Sandy Springs, a non-profit organization (information@heritagesandysprings.org) maintains the site as well as offers tours, lectures, storytelling hours and The Sandy Springs Fall Festival. The grounds include a native Georgia garden, a historic teaching garden, a bog garden, the brick terrace, garden room and a large gazebo – all of which serve as extraordinarily lovely settings for weddings and other affairs.
